Heartland is pleased to announce that we have received a 5-star Mortgage Innovator Award from the Australian Broker in 2022!

The Australian Broker is a trusted source of news for the mortgage and finance industry. Their 5-Star Mortgage Innovators report recognises the companies that are moving the mortgage industry forward by introducing new technology, or rolling out a groundbreaking product or distribution channel strategy.

Heartland received this award because we introduced several new market solutions to expand and improve our product offering in 2021. We introduced our Well-Life Loan, an unsecured loan for homeowners aged 60 and over who do not wish to put a mortgage on their title but still require financial assistance in retirement, and made some further improvements to our award winning Heartland Reverse Mortgage product. 

We did this by expanding our age requirements (55+ for couples with a partner 60+), increasing our loan to value ratio by 5% across each age category, removed our initial advance minimum amount for home care loans, and we now allow customers to use their reverse mortgage for granny flat construction.

Heartland also made process improvements to streamline our onboarding process for customers and brokers. This included introducing eSigning of loan documents, creating a digital accreditation test for brokers, upgrading our broker portal, and partnering with one of Australia’s largest aggregation groups to integrate their CRM directly to our online application system. 

Heartland is very proud of this award, and we will continue to keep improving our products and services to ensure we can help even more Australian seniors to live a more comfortable retirement, living in their own homes for as long as they choose.
