Heartland Reverse Mortgages is pleased to announce that we have once again received an Excellence Award at the Australian Mortgage Awards 2022, – Non-Bank of the Year!

The Australian Mortgage Awards is the leading independent awards event for the Australian mortgage industry, highlighting achievements and recognising excellence across the sector.

Excellence Awardees are a shortlist of the individuals and companies who receive recognition for being one of the best in each category. From the list of Excellence Awardees, an overall category winner is also selected on the awards night.

Since 2004, Heartland has helped over 24,000 Australian seniors release $1.6 billion of equity from their homes to fund a more comfortable retirement with our award-winning Reverse Mortgage. We have an ageing population and an increasing number of people retiring with debt who want to age from the comfort of their home – but are struggling to make ends meet. Heartland’s broker community continues to grow, and they have been well-serviced by our digital onboarding, training and support platforms, including our dedicated Broker Support Team. We are an active contributor to the broker community, participating in aggregator professional development events, sponsoring features in industry publications, a sponsor of the MFAA and FBAA, and providing media commentary on reverse mortgages.

Heartland looks to continually improve our offering to assist retirees and brokers. We’ve done this most recently by increasing our loan-to-value-ratios by 5% across each age category, aiming to make it easier for older Australians to access the funds they need to live a more comfortable retirement. We also continue to support the wider community with our Dementia Australia Memory, Walk and Jog sponsorship, and promote ethical business through being 100% committed to the Banking and Finance Oath.

Receiving this Excellence Award demonstrates an independent assessment of our ongoing commitment to Australians as they age, and joins our other achievements in the past twelve months, a 5-Star Mortgage Innovator Award in 2022 from the Australian Broker, and Best Reverse Mortgage 2021 from InfoChoice for the second year running.
