Sarah Burgemeister joined Heartland in 2023 as General Counsel and Company Secretary at Heartland Finance, Heartland’s Australian reverse mortgage business. Sarah has continued in this role at Heartland Bank and brings over 16 years of experience to the Heartland team.  Sarah’s previous roles include Senior Lawyer at Westpac, Senior Associate at Allens, Assistant General Counsel at Bank of America, and Associate at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Australia, London and New York. She has extensive experience primarily in financial services focusing on regulatory engagement, governance, investigations and contentious matters.
